Boiling Fresh Corn on the Cob
1. Remove the husk and silk if necessary.
2. Bring a large pot of water to a boil.
3. Submerge the ears of corn for approximately 5-7 minutes in the boiling water and remove with tongs.
4. Top with your favorite flavored butter, topping, or infused oil and enjoy!
Grilling Fresh Corn on the Cob in the Husk
1. Pre-heat the grill to medium/high temperature.
2. Soak the ears with the husks intact in a large pot of cold water for 15-30 minutes.
3. Remove the ears from the water and shake off any excess.
4. Before placing the corn on the grill, if you choose to add any olive oil, butter, or seasoning to the corn, simply peel back the husks without fully removing them, apply your seasoning, and reposition the husks back over the ear, tying the husks together with a loose piece of husk or twine if necessary.
5. Place the corn directly on the grill, rotating every few minutes for an even char.
6. Grill for about 15 minutes and carefully remove the corn from the grill with tongs. Using an oven mitt, remove the husk and serve with your favorite seasoning or toppings!
Grilling Fresh Corn on the Cob in Foil
1. Pre-heat the grill to medium/high temperature.
2. Remove any remaining husk and silk from the corn.
3. Soak the ears in a large pot of cold water for 15-30 minutes.
4. Remove the ears from the water and shake off any excess.
5. Before placing the corn on the grill, add any olive oil, butter, or seasoning to the corn if you choose to do so.
6. Place each individual ear in its own square piece of foil, closing the ends by twisting the excess foil.
7. Place the corn in the foil directly on the grill, rotating every few minutes for an even char.
8. Grill for about 15 minutes and carefully remove the corn from the grill with tongs. Using an oven mitt, remove the foil and serve with your favorite seasoning or toppings!
Microwaving Fresh Corn on the Cob
1. Remove the husk and silk if necessary. Rinse the ear of corn.
2. Wet a paper towel and wring out the excess water.
3. Wrap the ear of corn in the moist paper towel and place it on a microwave safe plate.
4. Cook in the microwave for 2 ½ to 3 minutes, or until cooked through.
5. Carefully remove the paper towel, add your favorite toppings, and enjoy!
